Ingredients

  • 1 lb. broccoli (~ 2 small heads)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 heaping teaspoons chili garlic sauce
  • 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • salt, to taste

Instructions

  • In a large skillet heat up olive oil on medium-high heat.
  • While oil heats up cut broccoli head into small florets that will be easier to cook. Once cut the oil should be shimmering and ready to use (2-3 minutes)
  • Add all the broccoli into pan, making sure all the broccoli is touching the pan. Cover and allow to cook for 5 minutes, undisturbed
  • Uncover and flip once broccoli has started to char. Cook for 10-15 more minutes, flipping every 5 minutes until broccoli is evenly charred on both sides.
  • Add in minced garlic, chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, and honey. Mix in thoroughly and cook for 5 more minutes constantly stirring until flavor is infused. Drizzle in sesame oil and mix completely. Sprinkle in salt, to taste. *You won’t need much salt considering there is soy sauce
  • Once broccoli is cooked down and charred to your liking take it off the heat and serve immediately. Serve as a side for rice or protein of your choice
  • Enjoy!
